1. Free2move Scientific is worldwide centre for Wireless Sensors and RFID In line with Free2move’s reorganisation from geographical areas to technology focus, Free2move Asia & Pacific has now been renamed to Free2move Scientific. Free2move Scientific produces and markets products for Wireless Sensors and RFID through its worldwide distribution network. Free2move Scientific is currently headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Free2move AB, based in Halmstad, Sweden, has recently announced increasing focus on technologies for workplace communications, Bluetooth™ audio and Bluetooth™ end user products, underpinned by major new customers in this application space. The continued development, support and marketing of Free2move’s RFIDS™ active RFID product line will be undertaken by Free2move Scientific. In addition, a number of new active RFID, passive RFID and sensor products will be announced throughout 2009. Free2move product families included: F2M07, F2M08, F2M09

2. Announcing 2 new long range pick-to-light RFID tags Searching for an asset in a large asset store, park or warehouse can be a nightmare, especially when manual routines fail. Even those who invest in costly RTLS systems find that accuracy is inconsistent, and misplacement is frequent. In large data centres, exact records of racked equipment are often incomplete and prone to error. Pick-to-light tags offer a simple visual indicator to show the user exactly where an asset is located. Typically, a list of detected assets would be displayed on a wireless handheld. The user can then select the asset of choice and press an “indicate” button. The tags can be instructed to either blink 5 times only or blink continuously with a pre-set interval. The range is up to 60 metres. The F2M08-BL0 is a pick-to-light tag with long battery life intended for larger assets such as vehicles and machinery. The light indicator is a bright LED with sufficient intensity even for outdoor deployment. The dimensions are 120 x 50 x 25 mm including flanges. The F2M08-CL0 is a card shaped pick-to-light tag with replaceable coin cell battery. The tag is intended for indoor requirements. The dimensions are 84 x 40 x 8 mm. The 2 pick-to-light tags work with Free2move’s standard active RFID evaluation software and all readers in the F2M07 series. Free2move product families included: F2M08

3. Anti-removal sensor tag offers unyielding asset security F2M08-BS0 is a new long range security tag with a built in anti-removal sensor. The F2M08-BS0 should be screwed onto the asset it is intended to protect. A sensor allows the tag to be locked onto the asset from software. If an unauthorised person attempts to remove the asset, its disappearance will be detected by the reader. Moreover, if an unauthorised person attempts to remove the tag from the asset so as to elude the RFID system, the anti-removal sensor will trigger the tag to beacon an alert message with highest output power and fastest interval, regardless of which RF modes the tag has been configured to. The alert message can be handled by the RFID system to trigger alarm and provide location information of the attempted security breach. The tag has a range of up to 60 metres and dimensions 120 x 50 x 25 mm including flanges. The asset security tag works with Free2move’s standard active RFID evaluation software and all readers in the F2M07 series. Free2move product families included: F2M08

4. New small sized long range tag for office assets A new small size flanged active RFID tag is offered for the tracking and protection of assets such as computers, screens, projectors etc. The tag has a range of up to 60 metres and dimensions 56 x 29 x 11 mm including 8 mm flanges on each side.

5. Free2move Scientific strengthens university presence During Q3 and Q4-2008, Free2move Scientific is proud to have shipped the F2M07-KIT1 including tags for asset identification and temperature sensing to several widely recognised and THES ranked universities in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong. The growing popularity in universities is allegedly due to the robust operation and simple programming interface of the F2M07 series active RFIDS™ readers using RS232, USB and Ethernet physical ports. Research and lab applications have been developed by the universities themselves including development environments based on C++, C#, VB.net, Python and Java. Free2move product families included: F2M07
